Revisions

Revisions let you save a named snapshot of a block, symbol or SCSS partial and go back to it later. A snapshot stores the code and the settings (attributes, supports and the other database settings of that item), not just the PHP.

Save a revision

  1. Open the block, symbol or SCSS partial in the FanCoolo editor.
  2. Click Create Revision.
  3. Enter a title (for example "Before new hero layout") and click Save Revision.

Revisions are created when you save them; FanCoolo does not create one automatically on every save. Save a revision before a bigger change.

Restore a revision

Open Revision History, pick the revision and apply it. FanCoolo asks for confirmation, because applying a revision overwrites your current changes.

Delete a revision

In Revision History, use Delete revision next to the one you no longer need.

For developers

Revisions are also available through the REST API (funculo/v1/revisions): list them per item, create one, apply one (/revisions/<id>/apply) or delete one.
