The list on the left of the FanCoolo editor lets you manage blocks, symbols, SCSS partials and styles directly, much like the List View in the block editor. Every row has a menu with Duplicate, Rename, Export and Delete, and symbols also have Copy as component.
Open the menu
- Click the ⋮ button on a row. It shows when you hover the row, when the row has keyboard focus, and on selected rows.
- Right-click a row. The menu opens at the pointer instead of the browser's menu.
- With the keyboard, focus a row and press
Shift+F10or theContextMenukey. Use the arrow keys to move,Enterto choose andEscapeto close.
The menu works on every tab (Blocks, Symbols, SCSS Partials, Styles) and in Sections view. Sections view only shows types that have at least one item, so on a new site you may not see SCSS Partials or Styles yet. Use Add new to create the first one.
Actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Duplicate | Creates a full copy titled "Title (copy)" with the slug slug-copy: code, settings, attributes, selected partials and generated files. With one item, the copy opens. A copy of a global SCSS partial is not global. |
| Rename | Changes the title, in the same dialog you get by clicking the title in the editor. |
| Copy as component | Symbols only. Copies <SymbolName /> to the clipboard. |
| Export | Downloads a JSON file you can bring in through FanCoolo WP → Import. One item is saved as fancoolo-<slug>.json, several as fancoolo-export-<n>-items-<date>.json. |
| Delete | Permanently deletes the item and its generated files, after you confirm. |
Select several items
- Click opens an item and clears any selection.
- Cmd+click (Mac) or Ctrl+click adds or removes one row.
- Shift+click selects every row between the last clicked row and this one.
Shift+ArrowUpandShift+ArrowDownextend the selection from the keyboard. - Escape clears the selection.
Open the menu on a selected row and the action applies to the whole selection, for example Duplicate 3 items, Export 3 items or Delete 3 items. Open it on a row outside the selection and it applies to that row only.
Deleting
The confirmation lists what will be deleted. It warns you when:
- a symbol is still used by blocks or symbols you are not deleting,
- an SCSS partial is still selected by other blocks, or is global and part of every block,
- the open item has unsaved changes, which will be lost.
Items that still use a deleted symbol or partial keep their references, so update them afterwards. After deleting, a notice shows how many items were removed. If the open item was deleted, the next row opens.
